Ocala Veterinary Wellness Services, managed by the Florida International Teaching Zoo Veterinarian and staff, is designed to meet the longstanding requests of clients attending our low-cost vaccination clinics. We now offer an opportunity for a comprehensive annual physical examination and heartworm test, in addition to vaccinations.
We extend our gratitude to Seminole Feed store for generously providing space for an office within their locations. We will be conducting weekly office hours to provide these essential services.
Establishing a veterinary/client relationship requires a yearly physical exam, which we offer at a rate of $30. Additionally, we facilitate the mandatory annual heartworm test, as per Florida law, enabling the prescription of preventative heartworm and flea products.
Our wellness service focuses on healthy pet exams and preventative medications. Please note that we do not prescribe other medications, and refills for existing medical conditions must be obtained from the prescribing veterinarian. We encourage maintaining your relationship with the office that attends to your sick pet.
For added convenience, prescription flea and heartworm preventative products can be ordered through our online store for home delivery. While we do not maintain a pharmacy on site, we ensure competitive pricing, allowing you to purchase individual products and manage your heartworm medication budget on a monthly basis if a 6 or 12-month supply is not feasible at once.
